Who We Are Fundamentally
Akito Creative is a fresh independent face to the web design scene, that aims to curate modern and fresh web, marketing and branding ideas for start-up, small and medium sized local businesses. That being said, the forces behind Akito Creative are no strangers to the digital arena and understand that it shouldn’t cost an “arm and a leg” to get results for your business via the internet. We want to help you utilise the internet as an extension of your business and use it to help grow your business in a multitude of ways.
By laying out the process and guiding you along the way, we’re able to make the whole thing seem a little less intimidating, it’s who we are. We try our best to make the whole experience more engaging. We use the world’s most powerful and popular Content Management System (CMS), WordPress, for all of our websites and this is a great way for you to learn how your website works as well. We pair up WordPress with the webpage builder Elementor, to create a seamless and timeless website for your business. Being that this combination of powerful web tools are the most popular in the world, it enables us to keep producing modern and up-to-date web design for clients.
We want to help bring your business results and utilise the magnitude of tools on the internet to do this. We want to curate your business’ vision through web design, digital marketing or branding/re-branding. Meet the team
Callan Weild
Creative Director & Digital Architect - Akito Creative
A Sunshine Coast local his whole life, Callan completed a dual degree (Bachelor of Arts & Business) at the University of the Sunshine Coast Majoring in Graphic Design and Marketing Research in 2014. Having been offered a position with a web agency straight out of University, he soon discovered that his skill set was much more suited towards web design and development. Since then he has worked as a Web Designer for some of Australia’s leading Hotel/Hospitality Website & Education Website companies, gaining invaluable insights and experience along the way.
Having always leant towards creative ventures, the world of design and branding has been a passion for Callan for quite some time. He has been fortunate enough to attend small workshops with leading world designers such as Aaron Draplin (Draplin Design Co.) and Ken Cato (Cato Branding Partners).
Between working career jobs, Callan has taken breaks to explore the world and immerse himself in other cultures. Having lived overseas in the Canadian and Japanese Alps, he found a second home in the mountains and a place where he pursues his passion of all things winter and snowboarding. He discovered in the mountains a renewed interest in photography and taking images of landscapes, which has developed into drone and street photography as well.
He is the mind behind Akito Creative and a part of who we are.
